Meet Dr. Liz Dubois

Origin Story

From about five years old I knew I wanted to do something powerful with my life. My parents would watch news of the war happening in the Middle East, and I would hide under the coffee table as I watched what looked like fireworks shoot across the black sky— fireworks my mom had explained were really bombs.

Hiding scared under that coffee table, I decided that when I grew up, I was going to do something that changed the world for the better.

For the first sixteen years of my career, I pursued that change by working in and then leading and eventually founding non-profit organizations. After seeing firsthand how much of the dollars raised went into overhead, rather than direct services, I sought out where I could best have that tangible impact I’d been dreaming of since those days under the coffee table.
